Teeth Whitening
Sometimes all your smile might need is a pick-me-up—a little something to make your teeth look whiter and brighter. If that’s what you want for your smile, then Dr. Carmen offers a take-home whitening system that is as effective as any in-office treatment. The Kör teeth whitening systems uses a proprietary Dual-Activated™, Tri-Barrel Hydremide® Peroxide formula. Unlike other systems that have the bleaching ingredients pre-mixed, the Kör system keeps them separated until you are ready to apply the formula to your teeth. This helps maintain the strength of the bleaching gel.
In addition, Kör is always kept refrigerated, during manufacture, delivery and storage in our office. You should also keep your Kör whitening solution in the refrigerator. When you want to whiten, just fill your custom-fitted mouth trays with Kör gel and wear them for the length of time Dr. Carmen suggests. You’ll see results after the first couple of treatments and the most dramatic smile will be revealed in about two weeks.
Porcelain Veneers
If the color of your smile isn’t the only characteristic you want to change, then consider porcelain veneers. These thin layers of fine dental porcelain are bonded to the facial side of your front teeth in order to transform your smile. Teeth that were once chipped, cracked or broken are suddenly perfected. Even teeth that are misshaped, slightly crooked or irregularly spaced can be corrected with veneers.
To receive your veneers, Dr. Carmen will first need to remove a small amount of tooth enamel. This is a permanent alteration to your teeth that must be done to ensure that the veneers fit flush with your other teeth. With proper care, porcelain veneers can last for 10 years or more and they are highly stain-resistant.

For a single tooth that is misshaped or damaged due to injury, Dr. Carmen may recommend a dental crown. We use the CEREC system in our office. CEREC is a state-of-the-art dental technology that includes a computer and software to design a crown and a milling unit to manufacture the crown right here in our office.
